Confidentiality in the PAAC Credentialing Program
A Reminder to PAAC Candidates and Sponsors
The confidentiality that is so important in individual and group coaching, is also important in the PAAC Credentialing Program. Program candidates will be courageously allowing other candidates and sponsors to observe their attempts at demonstrating effective ADHD coaching. These candidates are entitled to feel safe and supported as they expose their coaching to observation and comment by others. They should be able to trust that confidentiality will be honored regarding what they say and do in this program, how they are progressing in the program, and even which credential they are seeking. Just as with group coaching “what goes on in the group stays in the group.”
Candidates and Sponsors even need to be as careful about disclosing to anyone outside the program that a particular individual is a PAAC candidate just as we would be careful about disclosing that someone is coming to us for individual or group coaching. Disclosing to others that a particular individual is a candidate in the PAAC credentialing program should be exclusively the prerogative of that individual candidate.
